The Itinerary For Your Unforgettable Day in The Yarra Valley

  • 8.40am - We meet at St Paul's Cathedral steps, Flinders Street, to depart promptly at 9am.

- We set off on our one hour scenic journey, passing through beautiful Warrandyte on the way.

  • 10am - We arrive at Soumah Wines to sample a variety of red and white wines.

  • 11am - Four Pillars Gin Distillery for one of their famous gin paddles and your choice of mixer to wash the four gins down with. Or you can have a can of beer or glass of wine

  • 11am - Payten & Jones for a Wine & Vermouth tasting if gin isn't your thing. This is a 10 second walk from Four Pillars, so we can easily split the group up here depending on your preference.

  • 12.15pm - Quarters Restaurant @ Hubert Estate, where we all sit on one or two tables together, where we all order and pay for our own lunch and drinks. (If you don't want to join for lunch, you can walk over to the cellar door and buy yourself a drink whilst enjoying the artwork they have on display in the gallery under the cellar door).

- If you are quick with lunch, we will happily run you to Domaine Chandon for a photo opportunity of the beautiful view. It depends on their busyness as to whether they can offer you a seat, where you can buy yourself a quick sparkling wine.

  •  2pm - We arrive at our fourth stop of the day, which is a winery, for wine tastings with a view!

- The Yarra Valley Dairy in on route to the Chocolaterie, so you can hop out and buy yourself some cheese to take home with you.

  • 3.15pm -Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery for a guided tasting of 10 different mouth-watering chocolates to sample. After the informative talk, feel free to buy yourself a generously portioned gelato before the one hour relaxing drive back to Melbourne.

  • 3.15pm - Yarrawood Estate if chocolate isn't your thing. The chocolate tasting is included in your tour price but if you choose to be taken to Yarrawood Estate, the last drink of the day will be at your own cost.

  • 3.55pm - Depart from Yarra Valley to be back in Melbourne CBD for 5.10pm.

We have chilled coolers and waters onboard. We share the music, so you can pitch in with the Spotify playlist if you love your music whilst driving.

  • I do not drink alcohol. Will it be cheaper for me?
Unfortunately not. All tickets are the same price, but we will get you a drink at each venue instead of a wine tasting.
  • What type of people will be on the tour?
Apart from an awesome host driver, we never know what type of people or nationalities will be on the bus. That's the beauty of our public tour! If you want to have your own private tour on one of our many different vehicles, then fill in our enquiry form and we will give you a quick call to discuss what you would like to do, where you would like to visit and where you want to be picked up from.
  • Can I bring my own food and drink?
Absolutely! You will be spoilt for choice for food and drink in the Yarra Valley but you can bring whatever you like as long as it is not consumed at any of the venues we visit.
  • What if I am late and miss the tour?
The bus leaves from the beautiful St Paul's Cathedral in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. So we suggest you arrive well before your departure time and take a wander through Federation Square and take in the sights. Then get to the bus nice and early and check in with us and get your pick of the seats. The bus leaves promptly at departure time every single day.
  • Is lunch included in the tour?
We thought we would give you some freedom on the tour, so we stop for lunch where you can eat your own snacks on the bus or you can join the group inside and order your own lunch and pay with cash or card.
  • Where do we get dropped off to after the tour?
You will be dropped back to The Ian Potter Centre, on the opposite side of the road to where we departed from.
